Plants with their character and pattern are used in Yngves
photogravures. A photo of straw and plants in snow, where
they show their character at the clearest, is worked up
and accentuated with light, shadow and colors in photogravure.
Paintings are abstract, with colors and in a tight form
– a pattern, a repetition, a structure. Yngve Riber
works rhythmically and serially – maybe with the same
expression of infinity like it is in Islamic ornamentation,
which some of pictures remind about. There is used a special
blending technique in acryl and oil paintings, where he
puts in slagmetal.
